This item is a SolderX brand pre-wired HSH pickguard, designed to give the user full functionality of their Seymour Duncan P-Rails humbucker pickups with a middle pickup. This harness works with HSH Strat® pickguards. (PICKUPS SOLD SEPARATELY) SolderX is a new company powered by 30 years of guitar industry knowledge.
Alpha 500K push/pull pots
AxLabs 5-way Switch
PureTone Output Jack
Orange Drop Capacitor
AxLabs Pickguard
Gavitt Cloth Jacketed Wire (Red+ / Black-)
The 5-way switch works like every other Strat®, but the push/pull pots add the mojo. The forward push/pull pot in the volume position turns on the neck pickup when pulled, allowing you to combine it with the bridge pickup as well as the bridge and middle pickups, depending on where you set the 5-way switch. The rear push/pull pots are the tones when turned, the bottom tone knob controls the tone of the bridge pickup while the middle tone knob controls the tone of the middle and neck pickups, but when pulled they work together to set the modality of the P-Rails pickups. When they're both down then both P-Rails are in series humbucking mode. When they're both up then both P-Rails pickups are in parallel humbucking mode. When one is up and the other is down then both P-Rails will be in rail coil only mode. When you flip the one up one down selection then both P-Rails are in P90 mode.
This wiring harness should be grounded to your guitar by utilizing the bridge ground and body ground wires that should be on your Strat® from the factory. If you're building a new guitar from scratch then you will have to source some 22 gauge ground wire.
